Always Follow

I was reading a devotional the other day about blind Bartimaeus. It's an awesome story of the compassion and power of Jesus. One thing that really struck me was the choice Bartimaeus made after Jesus healed his sight. In Mark 10:52, Jesus said, "Go your way; your faith has healed you."

At that point, Bartimaeus could have gone anywhere, but what did he choose to do? He "accompanied Jesus on the road." I wonder how often God moved on my behalf and shortly after I went my own way. This cannot be! I must follow Jesus, not only when He moves on my behalf, but always.

Always follow Christ – always.
