My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

Repentance Scriptures

I just did a small study on repentance and came up with several awesome Bible verses. I wanted to share them with you. Repentance is a very important part of my walk with God because I am so prone to making mistakes. He is so merciful! These verses are not in any order, but the truths behind them are awesome.

God’s kindness leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Godly sorrow brings repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10-11).

The Lord desires that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Repentance wipes out all sin and brings times of refreshing from the Lord (Acts 17:30).

We prove our repentance by our deeds (Acts 26:20).

We are to produce fruit in keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8).

Jesus came to call sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32).

We are to preach repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Jesus name to all nations (Luke 24:47).

Heaven rejoices when even one sinner repents (Luke 15:7).

There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels when one sinner repents (Luke 15:10).

We should forgive others who repent and ask for forgiveness just as God always forgives (Luke 17:4).

In Christ,
Clint Herman
