My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

God Is Faithful

I just read 2 Kings 5:1-14, the story of Naaman’s healing from leprosy. It was simple, he was simply to go and dip in the Jordan 7 times and he would be healed. However, Naaman was not pleased with this. Verse 12 says he went away in a rage. Imagine that. He had leprosy and all he had to do was go and dip himself into a river 7 times and he would be healed.

It struck me that even though Naaman responded to Elisha instructions with anger and mockery, God still honored Elisha’s promise when Naaman finally came to his senses and did what he was told.

God could have said, “Hey, I would have healed you if you would have only done what I told you to do without complaining.” But God is full of love, grace and mercy! He is always faithful to His promises. I can think of many times when I responded to God in ways similar to the way Naaman responded.

Thank God He doesn’t change His mind when His people moan, groan, complain and get angry with Him.

In Christ,
Clint Herman
