God’s Faithfulness

In verse 4 of Psalm 91, it says that God’s faithfulness is both are shield and rampart. Something occurred to me the other day when I read this Psalm again. This means God’s faithfulness acts as both a defense and an offense; it protects us and can be used to bring down Satan’s stronghold.

I know what a shield is, and I know a rampart is some kind of medieval weapon that was used to lay siege to castles. At least I think this is the case. At any rate, I know that a rampart is a weapon. (:

When I think about how faithful God is – when I really think about it, I am absolutely amazed. God has always been faithful to me, even when I was not. God’s faithfulness is a shield and rampart.
