My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

Presidential Prayer Team - About

Thought this site was interesting. Whether you like our current Commander and Chief, we should all be praying for him and his administration.

What do you think?

Presidential Prayer Team - About: "ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER TEAM

Many across America and Americans in other countries are heeding the call to pray for our President. In a short time since the September 11 terrorist attacks, well over a million people have registered their promise to pray daily for the President. That number is increasing by the thousands of new team members every month. News of The Presidential Prayer Team is spreading rapidly throughout America as people march to the tempo of an almost forgotten tune, 'God Bless America.'..."

Looks Can Be Deceiving

It is absolutely true. Looks can be deceiving. I’m sure you have heard this phrase many times before. I know I have. However, today I received a revelation from God about this. He showed me that I have pretty much thought of this term in a negative way. That is to say that, in the past, whenever I used that phrase to describe something, I was using it to describe something negative.

Having a form of Godliness but denying the power is a way of using this phrase in a negative way. A wolf in sheep’s clothing is another negative usage of this term. Today I realized that it can also be used to describe something positive, which really isn’t cutting edge, missing link stuff.

It’s not just the fact that I have used this phrase in a negative way that’s important. That’s not the real revelation. The revelation came when God applied this phrase to my own life. He told me that even though I may look at certain things in my life and they may appear to be the same, it does not mean they are the same. Even though I have been praying for a long time that certain things would change, and they appear to remain the same, it does not mean they are the same.

God told me that things are changing. He told me to keep my faith strong and I will see the answer to my prayers. He told me to not look at things through earthly eyes, but to look at things through His eyes.

Yes, looks can be deceiving.

I pray when I begin to look at my life and the things I desperately want changed and feel bad that God would strengthen my faith and allow me to see through His eyes. I pray at those times I would say, “Well, it may look like nothing is changing, but God is changing me. He has begun a good work in me and He will be faithful to bring it to completion. It may seem that I am not changing, but looks can be deceiving. God is changing me.”

I pray the exact same thing for you! Stand firm in your faith, ask God to allow you to see things through His eyes and remember that things are not always they way they appear! God is doing a great thing in you!

In Christ,
Clint Herman
