Sheep Are Cute, But Dumb

I remember hearing Joyce Meyer say on her daily program that sheep are cute, but dumb. I had to laugh at that comment, as did many of the people who were at her speaking engagement. When I stop and think about a sheep, I realize that the chance of it surviving long without a shepherd is slim to none. Now, I’m not a shepherd myself and may be simplifying to make a point, but sheep just need someone to take care of them.

Of course, it didn’t take me long to remember that Christians are referred to as sheep in the Bible. I don’t know about you, but I sure feel dumb sometimes (and not very cute). (: If it wasn’t for my Shepherd taking care of me, I would be lost. I shudder to think where I would be today without Jesus. I certainly have made many mistakes over the years, but life more than likely would have been SO much worse without Jesus.

I need my Shepherd.
