My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

Be Obedient

A few weeks ago, God began to put it into my spirit to pray for the people around me when out driving our getting coffee or whatever. I have to be honest. I haven’t always obeyed. I guess I didn’t think it was important enough or maybe I didn’t think I could really make a difference. Maybe I just forgot.

I was at a coffee shop the other day with a friend and I was not praying for the people around me. For some reason, a lady came in who caught my attention, and when she left I saw her get into her shinny sports car and leave.

I really didn’t think much of it until about 20 minutes later when I was driving home. I was on the freeway driving home when I noticed a lot of traffic. We were slowed because of an accident. It took a minute to get to where the accident was, but as soon as I could see, I notice a shinny silver sports car with a battered front end on the centered median. There was a lady standing next to the car on a cell phone and I immediately recognized her.

Yes, it was the same woman I had seen 20 minutes before at the coffee shop! I was shocked, to say the least. As I began to try and grasp the situation with my mind, God dropped something in my spirit. He asked me 2 simple questions. “What would have happened if you would have prayed for her at the coffee shop? Would she have gotten into that accident?”

I’m serious. This was MUCH more than a coincidence, and we, as joint heirs with Christ, can make serious waves in the spiritual realm when we pray. I still shake my head when I think about this, and I am now taking more seriously God’s call for me to pray for those around me.
I beg you to also take seriously the things God has called you to do. No matter how insignificant they may seem, whether or not you fully understand them, be faithful and obedient. You have no idea what affect you will have.

In Christ,
