My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

God Does Not Change

I remember a while back there was some construction on the road on a route I take on a regular basis. It seemed like every time I drove there, the detour was different. I never knew where I would be forced to drive. One time I am driving on the shoulder and the next time I am driving on the other side of the road. One time, it didn’t change for a while and then it suddenly did and I almost ran into a cone! I sure was glad when they finished the construction.

A lot of things in life are like this. Change, change and more change everywhere you look. Aren’t you glad that God never changes? I am. Malachi 3:6 says, “I am the Lord, I change not.” James 1:17 says that God does not change like shifting shadows. You can take that to the bank. God at His Word!

I encourage you to meditate on these verses. Really think about what this means. It is awesome!

Psalm 9

I wanted to share with you the Bible passage I recently read. I don't know the last time I read this Psalm, but I like it. I especially like verses 6 and 9.

Psalm 9 (AMP):

To the Chief Musician; set for [possibly] soprano voices. A Psalm of David.

1 I WILL praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds!

2 I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High!

3 When my enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished before You.

4 For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging righteously.

5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6 The enemy have been cut off and have vanished in everlasting ruins, You have plucked up and overthrown their cities; the very memory of them has perished and vanished.

7 But the Lord shall remain and continue forever; He has prepared and established His throne for judgment.

8 And He will judge the world in righteousness (rightness and equity); He will minister justice to the peoples in uprightness.

9 The Lord also will be a refuge and a high tower for the oppressed, a refuge and a stronghold in times of trouble (high cost, destitution, and desperation).

10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God's Word and the right of their necessity].
