My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

God Speaks In Prayer

Recently we have been praying about something very important, and although I am not at liberty to share the specific details, I do want to share some of the ideas and concepts that God has been teaching me about.

1. Sometimes we are faced with choosing between different things. I'm not talking about choosing between sin and righteousness. It's easy to know what to do in that situation. I'm talking about choosing between shades of gray, between things that are all good. Going before God when faced with any decision is always the right thing to do. We pray to know God's will, but sometimes instead of telling us what to do God asks us what we want to do.

2. I try to never compare myself with other Christians. It's very dangerous and has led me down the wrong path in the past. If God is calling you to do something and you don't feel qualified or other Christians are doing things differently or they got to a place you want to be but did it in a different way then the way you feel called to do, it's okay. If you seek to honor God, devoting yourself entirely to the mission at hand, God will honor you and use you.

3. The power of negative words can destroy the faith in your actions and the power of negative actions can destroy the faith of your words. I experienced this in a powerful way recently. Your words and actions need to be on the same page. I can't go around claiming something in the name of Jesus and then do things that are contrary to my words of faith.

In Christ,
