My Prayer Time

I have felt compelled for some time to share my prayers and talks with God with others. That is what this blog is for, and I hope God belsses you with these words. Of course, I would love to hear from others as well.

Preacher Punched, Christ Exalted

I'm sure many of you heard the story about the preacher in Tulsa, OK who was punched by a guy during an alter call. Unbelievable, but true. Actually, I kind of praise God for it, not that I sit around praying for preachers to get attacked.

However, Rev. Billy Joe Daugherty of Victory Christian Center did exactly what he was supposed to do. He did not retaliate, but went right back up on the platform and kept on going, even with blood dripping down his cheek. And he didn't even press charges. He and his congregation forgave the man and prayed for him.

I wonder what I would do if I were in his shoes. I doubt I would be so quick to forgive and I doubt I would not retaliate.

Here's the link to the news story I read:
